Michael Fonfara

As well as his extensive formal education and numerous awards in music, Michael Fonfara's twenty years of credits as a musician, writer, producer and arranger in the music industry provide him with almost limitless scope and ability to create music for any occasion.
Michael has shared the stage with many notable artists, including Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix, John and Edgar Winter, Wilson Pickett, Roy Orbison and groups such as Junior Walker and the All Stars, the Young Rascals, Jefferson Airplane and the Temptations.
'67 to '72 Michael played organ, piano and keyboard with the all star "supergroup" called Rhinocerous, a top 40recording group in the U.S. formed by Electra Records, in New York. Michael performed with the following groups: the Iron butterfly; The Tools; The Flag; John Finly and the Checkmates; The Daily Flash and BuffaloSpringfield; Mothers of Invention (Frank Zappa); Big Brother and the Doors. Rhinocerous recorded three LPsno1 hit "Apricot Brandy" and two top 10 singles for Electra Records.
Michael's credentials go on and on, but suffice it to say that he not only plays with Downchild Blue's band - he has also produced their last two CD's.

Senator John W. Fonfara

John W. Fonfara is in his fourth term representing the 1st Senatorial District residents of the city of Hartford and a portion of the town of Wethersfield. Senator Fonfara currently serves as Chair of the Planning and Development Committee, and Vice Chair of the Education Committee, the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee, and the Program Review and Investigations Committee. Senator Fonfara previously served as Chair of the Government Administration and Election, Program Review and Investigations, and Banks Committees.
Prior to being elected to the State Senate, Senator Fonfara served five terms in the State House of Representatives, representing Hartford's South and Southwest neighborhoods. During that time he served as Chair of the Energy and Public Utilities Committee, Vice-Chair of the Planning and Development Committee, Vice-Chair of the Insurance and Real Estate Committee, and member of the Banks, Judiciary, Appropriations and Transportation Committees.
Senator Fonfara is recognized for his dedication to school improvement, early childhood development, efforts to improve the quality of life in local neighborhoods, and promotion of economic development, fair auto insurance rates and property tax reform for the communities of Hartford and Wethersfield.
Senator Fonfara earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut in 1981, and an M.A. in Public Policy Studies from Trinity College in 1991. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Capitol Region Growth Council, a Corporator of St. Francis Hospital, and a founder and past Board member of the South Hartford Initiative, a low-interest loan fund for homeowners and small businesses in the South End of Hartford.
Senator Fonfara works as a consultant for an outdoor advertising company, and is a devoted father to his daughter, Christina. He resides on Fenwick Street in Hartford's South End.

Dennis Fonfara

Dennis Fonfara is a classically trained figurative artist. His formal education has included attending the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts (now the College for Creative Studies), the University of Michigan and the University of Wyoming. In addition, he has advanced studies in lithography, bronze casting and mold making, and has served an apprenticeship with Zubel Kachadoorian.
His most recent work explores the interactions between the individual and his environment and the individual and society.
His works are in a number of private collections in the United States and abroad.

Michael Fonfara

geboren 1972 in Dachau, vom Kfz-Mechaniker im Heimatort ging es 1997 zur Ausbildung zum Mediengestalter nach Leipzig. 1999/200 mit Lebensgefährten im Karneval in Lutherstadt Wittenberg zu Ehren gekommen (findet man noch viel im Internet).
Lebt seit 2001 in Berlin als freier Mediengestalter (für Universal-Music und Lürzers Archive) und inzwischen als Fotograf. Ab Juni 2004 wird der Wohnsitz mal wieder verlegt: Nach Irland! Dann gibt's dort wenigstens auch mal einen Fonfara :)

Scott Fonfara

joined the Chicago Magic SC staff as the assistant coach in July of 1999. He has been working with the Magic teams since 1994.
Coach Fonfara is a former player with the Chicago Magic SC. He was a midfielder for Coach Matkovich for the Magic 1975 Boys.
Fonfara attended Lockport High School and graduated in 1992. He was and All-Conference midfielder in 1991 at Lockport HS.
He is currently attending Lewis University in Romeoville.
During the 1999-2000 seasons Fonfara is working with the U-11, U10, U-09, U-08 boys teams.
He is responsible for all the record-keeping and billing for the clubs players. He is also responsible for uniform ordering and equipment maintenance the Club. Scott has earned his National “C” license and will complete his “B” license next year in 2001.
His Magic boys teams have won dozens of local and Midwestern tournaments during the past three years.
He is the assistant coach for the both of the U-15 boys teams this year.

Ursula Vogt, geborene Fonfara

Ursula ist am 20.02.1922 in Küpper, Kreis Sagan, geboren und 1945 als 19-jährige in den Westen geflüchtet. Ihre alleinerziehende Mutter, deren Schwester - und soweit vermutet auch die Eltern der Mutter - waren auf dem Gut des Grafen Stillfried angestellt. Die Mutter ist 1944 gestorben. Ursula Vogt ist eine geborene Fonfara und lebt seit 1947 im Hunsrück. Am 20.02.2005 wurde Ursula 80 Jahre alt und hätte gerne noch Kontakt mit möglichen Freunden oder Verwandten. Wenn Ihr etwas wißt, meldet Euch.

Barbara Fonfara

Barbara Fonfara ist 1925 in Kattowitz geboren, ihre Eltern Rudolf und Clara Fonfara hatten eine bekannte Drogerie. Sie hatte 2 Geschwister, Dorothee und Joachim. Joachim ist aus dem Krieg nicht zurückgekehrt. Barbara Fonfara studierte in Dresden Fotografie und überlebte den großen Bombenangriff, dann flüchtete sie nach Süddeutschland und arbeitete bis zum Rentenalter bei der Esslinger Zeitung. Am 24. Jan. 2005 wurde sie 80 und kehrte an ihrem Geburtstag für 3 Tage nach Dresden zurück und sah die Stadt nach 60 Jahren erstmals wieder.
